Small electronics and appliances: a toaster on the blink, a lamp that won’t light. We carry some spares, so simple jobs are often fixed there and then. If a part is needed, we’ll point you to where to get it and you can bring it back to a future event to be fitted.
Small furniture: a wobbly chair or a tired side table. We can restore it as it was, or help you upcycle it into something new.
Clothing and textiles: a favourite jumper with a moth hole, a tear, a stain or a broken zip.
There are a few things we can’t take on for safety or insurance reasons, such as microwaves and e-bike batteries. See the full list of what we can and can’t help with.
No booking needed. Just drop in. We work first come, first served, matching each item with the right repairer, so there may be a little wait. The foyer is a lovely spot to chat while you do, with tea, coffee and cake on sale. Proceeds go to our generous hosts, Christ Central Church.
The rule is one item per visitor, though you’re welcome to rejoin the queue if time allows.
Repairs can’t be guaranteed. Our volunteers are experienced but work at their own discretion, and you’ll be asked to sign a short waiver as part of our Repair Café rules.
Not sure if we can help? Post in our Facebook group, or message us by email, Instagram or Facebook, and we’ll let you know.
Come and chat with us online, or join our email list and we will let you know when the next Repair Cafe is on.
